A town with architecture, not just houses
Sedalia is the largest town on our northwest routes, and it has the housing stock to prove it. Broadway and the streets off it hold genuine Victorian and early-century homes — deep porches, turned posts, bay windows, brick that was laid to last. The Missouri State Fairgrounds sit on the edge of town, the old Katy depot anchors the other end, and in between there are neighborhoods where a well-lit house is noticed by the whole block.
Old wood and old brick set the rules. Nothing gets stapled, nothing gets punched into original trim, and everything runs in one warm colour temperature so the architecture keeps its own colour instead of turning grey under cool white. We measure the building, cut each line on site, and take it all down in January the same careful way it went up.
