Christmas Light Installation in Laurie

A settled west-side community where a good many homes are lived in year round — and lit accordingly.

Year-round, not just Memorial Day to Labor Day

Laurie sits along Highway 5 on the lake’s western side, and unlike some of the lake it holds a substantial year-round population. That changes what a display is for. These are not houses lit for a week of holiday visitors — they are homes lit for a season their owners are actually present to enjoy, which argues for something durable and comfortable rather than showy.

What suits a Laurie home

Warm white along the rooflines, a wreath at the door, and a tree or two wrapped in the yard. Restrained, well executed, and maintained so it looks the same on the fourth of January as it did the first of December. Where a property runs to acreage, the drive and the trees along it usually earn their light before another twenty feet of eave would.

On the route all season

Laurie, Sunrise Beach, and the roads that connect them are part of our standing rotation. That matters most in the middle of December, when a dark section needs somebody to actually come out rather than promise to.
