The biggest town south of the lake

Lebanon is a real city rather than a wide spot on a highway — the Laclede County seat, sitting on the interstate with a full Main Street, settled neighborhoods, and a great many houses with the deep porches and mature front-yard trees that light unusually well. It is a straight run down Highway 5 from Camdenton, which puts it comfortably inside the ground we cover.

The work here looks different from lakefront work, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. There are far fewer docks and a great many more front elevations: rooflines seen squarely from the street, porch columns, entries, and trees. Done properly that is a very handsome install — arguably the classic one, and the kind of thing a whole street notices.

Storefronts, offices, and commercial fronts along the highway are ordinary work for us, quoted exactly the way a house is: one number covering design, installation, the season, and the takedown. For a business the part that usually matters most is that none of your staff spends a November afternoon on a ladder, and that the front looks the same in late December as it did the day it went up.
